Job Description Manufacturing Management AccountantSalary: 40,000 per annum - DOE (Depending On Experience)Hours: 37.5 hours per weekShift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 8:15am-4:45pm, Friday 8:00am-2:00pmLocation: Barnsley We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business, recently supported by new ownership, who are looking to appoint a Manufacturing Management Accountant to strengthen their finance function during a period of growth.This role would suit a qualified or part-qualified accountant who enjoys working closely with production and operations within a hands-on manufacturing environment.The RoleKey responsibilities will include:Supporting production and manufacturing accounting activitiesStandard costing, job costing, and variance analysisWork-in-progress (WIP) accounting and revenue recognitionInventory control, stock valuation, and material usage reportingMonth-end close, management accounts, and production cost reportingBudgeting, forecasting, and cost reduction initiativesAnalysis of overhead absorption, labour efficiency, and machine utilisationWorking closely with production, engineering, and operations teamsEnsuring compliance with UK accounting standards (UK GAAP); IFRS knowledge beneficialExperience, Skills & QualificationsQualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experienceManufacturing or metals engineering background preferred (fabrication, machining, job shop)Strong understanding of production accounting and manufacturing financeExperience using ERP/MRP systems within a manufacturing environmentAdvanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modellingCommercially minded with a strong attention to detailConfident communicating financial information to non-finance stakeholdersProactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities effectivelyComfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing settingHands-on approach with a genuine interest in shop-floor processesStructure & ProgressionRole reports into senior leadership at site or director levelOpportunity to play a key role in shaping finance processes following new ownershipStrong exposure across production, engineering, and operationsPackage & Benefits33,000 to 40,000 basic salaryPension scheme25 days holiday plus bank holidaysPlease feel free to apply or for a confidental chat email me on: JBRP1_UKTJ
