Our PI/Clinical Negligence department is looking for a clinical negligence solicitor with experience of handling a wide ranging case load of matters at all stages of the litigation process. The work will range from assisting with catastrophic injury claims to advising at inquests.Key ResponsibilitiesIn line with policies and procedures key responsibilities include:Maintaining a caseload of clinical negligence cases from cradle to grave Experience in dealing with and assisting with a wide range of clinical negligence matters including assisting more senior fee earners with cerebral palsy and brain injury casesTaking client instructions and analysing legal and medical issues to determine prospects of success on case Drafting instructions to medical experts and reviewing expert reportsDrafting legal documents at all stages of proceedings including letters of claim, schedules of loss and witness statementsPerson SpecificationExcellent communication and client care skillsGood communication, organisational and team skillsGood attention to detailFlexible and dependable, able to take the initiativeAble to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlinesConscientious, approachable and enthusiasticAble to quickly build confidence, respect and trust with othersTechnical KnowledgePrevious clinical negligence experience (either claimant or defendant) of managing a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims and assisting with cerebral palsy and brain injury casesExperience of dealing with litigated cases through the court processWhat You Need to KnowWe offer more than just a job.
