Configuration Management Support Engineer (Contract)Apply (by clicking the relevant button) after checking through all the related job information below.Location: Yeovil, UK (Hybrid) Pay Rate: 23 per hour Contract Length: 6 months (with strong potential to extend requirement forecast for at least 12 months) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm (some flexibility available)Working PatternHybrid working available once trained and comfortable in the role (approximately 3 days onsite / 2 days remote, flexible for the successful candidate). Initial training period is expected to take up to 3 months and will be primarily onsite.Mandatory RequirementsCandidates must be able to successfully complete Full BPSS screening, including:Proof of Legal Right to Work in the UKUK DBS (Criminal Records Check)Drugs ScreeningAbout the RoleYou will report directly to the Senior Engineering Supervisor based in Yeovil and support the REACH Obsolescence Programme by providing intermediate-level Configuration Management support. This role has day-to-day responsibility for configuration activities that impact wider engineering and customer teams.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and promote robust configuration management processesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve configuration-related issuesProvide guidance and support to engineering teams on configuration management best practicesEnsure changes to product configurations are properly documented, controlled, and communicated to both internal and external customersProcess design data releases and engineering changesCreate and revise Engineering Bills of Materials (EBOMs)Ensure the integrity and accuracy of EBOM data during transition from PLM systems to SAPMain Role FocusConfiguration Management Support xjdpvnf Submitting defined changes to customers via customer portals and other required methodsKey Skills & ExperienceIT Skills: Confident using Microsoft Office and similar software toolsCommunication Skills: Able to communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholdersTechnical Experience:Comfortable discussing technical topics with customersUnderstanding of common engineering and configuration management terminologyOpen to candidates with 23 years experience, from a variety of technical or engineering backgrounds
