Configuration Management Engineer

Job Description We are recruiting on behalf our client based in Yeovil for a Configuration Management Engineer. This is a temporary position running until February 2027, with the possibility of extension.This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic professional with experience in Configuration Management to join a dynamic and highly respected engineering environment.Working with SAP 500 to progress and agree modifications, you will interface with stakeholders across multiple business functions to discharge Configuration Management processes and activities. You will take ownership of achieving accurate configuration data from requirement identification, definition and design through to operational implementation, ensuring the integrity of product design.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Configuration Management Engineer, you will:Drive the achievement of configuration deliverables (Configuration Management Plans and supporting documentation)Manage and monitor change requests and change collectors, ensuring timely progression from initiation through to operational implementationDeliver Configuration Management reports and management information, including status reports, KPIs and trackers in line with defined reporting cyclesAct as the clients point of contact at internal and external customer meetingsProvide configuration technical support to functional areas to control the modification state of the product and its support equipmentAbout YouTo succeed in this role, you will have:Knowledge of, or experience in, Configuration Management principles and processesThe ability to prioritise and manage your own workload effectivelyStrong interpersonal, facilitation and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills (verbal, written and electronic)High attention to detail and qualityA high degree of IT literacy, including SAP, Excel and Power BIMeridian Business Support is a recruitment specialist acting on behalf of our client as an Employment Business for this vacancy.JBRP1_UKTJ
