Job Description Sonardyne is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Transducer Test Engineer to join our Electromechanical Design Group. This is a hands-on, varied role supporting both existing underwater acoustic products and calibration equipment used across our UK and international operations.With over 50 years of expertise in underwater acoustics, Sonardyne offers a unique opportunity to work on innovative transducer technologies while learning from and collaborating with experienced engineers and production specialists. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds who are eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a collaborative engineering environment.About the RoleReporting to the Senior Transducer Engineer, you will play a key role in testing, analysing, and improving underwater acoustic transducer systems. The role involves both laboratory-based work and close collaboration with production and engineering teams.If you join you will:Perform in-air and in-water acoustic and electrical testingAnalyse test data and produce clear technical reports, including root cause analysis and recommendationsUse specialised laboratory equipment to measure sound pressure levels, frequency response, noise, and vibrationDevelop and execute test procedures that meet acoustic, electrical, and environmental standardsSupport and improve existing underwater acoustic products and calibration systemsCommunicate results clearly through written reports and technical presentationsLiaise with production teams to improve acoustic processes and implement enhancementsAssist with the development and evaluation of new subsea transducer designsEnsure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and certificationsAbout You : You are analytical, methodical, and enjoy hands-on engineering work.
