The client is one of the leading manufacturers of chilled foods in the UK. The site at Wrexham has a culture of open communication and a positive work environment. They also have a workforce with 60% being over 10 years service.We are currently recruiting for a production Chef to work within our sophisticated Industrial kitchens. The Wrexham site is a fast-paced operation, with an impressive 2 Million ready meals being produced each week. Shift Patterns:4 on 4 off either 06:00-18:00/18:00-06:00 or 04:00-16:00/16:00-04:00Pay Rates14.39 per hour on day shift / 15.46 per hour on night shift Early start allowance 4.27 for 4am starts per shiftAs a Chef Operative, you will need to have:Qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ qualification in Food and DrinkExperience gained in manufacturing or hospitality Kitchens is desirableWillingness to undertake personal development initiatives to achieve personal and organisational objectivesDemonstrate being punctual and reliableBe able to work as part of a team and under own initiativeProblem-solving and critical thinkingHave great communication skillsAttention to detailRole of a Chef OperativeThe role is fast-paced in a 24/7 operation where the safety of all our colleagues is paramount.Produce sauces to the specification recorded on the cook sheet. To complete all documentation associated with the cooking process to the standard required.Take personal responsibility for ingredients and raw materials.
