Job Description Acting Registered Manager Learning Disabilities & Autism Residential Service AV1852Location: Wrexham, North East WalesHours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (5-months)Salary: 50,000.00 P/AService Type: Residential home supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism (5 residents)About the ServiceAvon Search and Selection are excited to be working with a Care provider of choice to help them source an experienced Home Manager to join their team at one their Private Specialist care facilities in North East Wales. Providing high-quality, person-centred support to five adult males with learning disabilities and autism, enabling them to live meaningful, fulfilled lives in a safe and supportive environment.The semi-rural setting offers calm, space, and opportunity, while our dedicated team focuses on dignity, choice, independence, and wellbeing. The company pride themselves on delivering consistent, compassionate care that is truly tailored to each individual.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to lead the home and drive excellence in care, leadership, and compliance.As the CIW Registered Manager, you will have full accountability for the day-to-day management of the service and for ensuring compliance with the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 and associated regulations.You will provide strong, visible leadership to your team while ensuring the people we support receive outstanding, person-centred care that promotes independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for a values-driven leader who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities and autism.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strong, inspirational leadership to a multidisciplinary staff teamMaintain registration with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) and ensure full regulatory complianceEmbed a positive, person-centred culture focused on dignity, choice, and individual outcomesOversee care planning, risk assessments, and the delivery of individualised support plansEnsure safe, effective support for individuals who may display behaviours that challengeManage staffing, including recruitment, supervision, appraisal, training, and developmentMaintain high standards of quality, safeguarding, health and safety, and medication managementManage budgets and resources effectively to ensure financial sustainabilityBuild positive relationships with families, professionals, and external agenciesLead on continuous improvement, audits, and quality assuranceWhat We're Looking ForProven experience in a management role within Learning Disabilities and/or Autism servicesRegistered Manager experience (or readiness to register) with CIW or CQCLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or evidence of working towards itStrong understanding of CIW or CQC regulations, best practice, and quality frameworksExperience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours that challenge (desirable)Resilient, compassionate, and confident leader with excellent communication skillsA values-driven approach with a genuine passion for making a differenceWhy Join UsLead a small, well-established service with a strong community feelOpportunity to make a real, lasting impact on people's livesSupportive organisation committed to quality and staff developmentBeautiful working environmentA role where your leadership truly mattersVery strong career progression available within organisationIf you are an experienced, compassionate leader ready to take ownership of a high-quality LD and Autism service, we would love to hear from you.JBRP1_UKTJ
