The OpportunityWe are working on behalf of a well-established and growing law firm with its head office based in Chester. Due to continued expansion, the firm is looking to recruit an Employment Solicitor to join its busy and respected employment team.The firm would ideally like to speak with candidates who are local to Chester, Cheshire, or the wider North West; however, they are open to flexible or fully remote working arrangements for the right individual.This is an excellent opportunity for an Employment Solicitor seeking high-quality work, flexibility, and genuine scope for progression within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.The RoleThe successful candidate will handle a broad and varied employment law caseload, advising both employer and employee clients. The role offers a high degree of autonomy and the chance to play a key role in the continued development of the employment offering.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging a mixed employment law caseload covering contentious and non-contentious mattersAdvising on issues including:Unfair and wrongful dismissalDiscrimination and whistleblowing claimsTUPE mattersRedundancies and restructuresSettlement agreementsEmployment contracts, policies, and handbooksConducting and managing Employment Tribunal claimsProviding clear, practical, and commercially focused adviceDeveloping and maintaining strong client relationshipsSupporting business development initiatives where appropriateSupervising or mentoring junior team members (depending on experience)Candidate ProfileQualified Solicitor in England & WalesIdeally 3+ years PQE in employment law (applications outside this range are welcome)Strong technical knowledge of employment legislation and case lawExperience running Employment Tribunal mattersExcellent communication and client-handling skills xjdpvnf Ability to work autonomously and manage competing prioritiesA proactive and commercially minded approachWhats on Offer40,000 - 60,000 DOEFlexible working arrangements, including hybrid or remote workingHigh-quality work and a diverse client baseSupportive and collaborative firm cultureClear career progression opportunitiesA role that offers both autonomy and long-term stabilityLocation:Chester (Head Office)Working Pattern:Hybrid preferred | Remote working considered for the right candidateFor a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.Remote working/work at home options are available for this role.
