Job OverviewBand 2 Deep Clean Domestic Assistant Based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital The Domestic Services team is responsible for maintaining environmental cleanliness, with the Deep Clean Team playing a key role. The team is trained to carry out deep cleaning following outbreaks of infectious illness, terminal cleaning of vacated isolation rooms, and after maintenance. They are also trained to use specialist decontamination equipment such as Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour equipment. Previous experience in the cleaning industry is beneficial but not essential, as on-the-job training and supervision will be provided. Uniform and protective clothing will also be supplied. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) with a rota that includes working from 10am to 6pm and/or 12pm to 8pm, covering weekends and bank holidays as needed. Main DutiesWe are seeking enthusiastic, motivated individuals for roles in our Domestic Services Department at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The role requires travel to Community Hospitals and Clinics, for which a shared vehicle will be available. Therefore, the ability to drive is essential. The Health Board offers excellent working conditions, including paid holiday entitlement, enhanced pay for weekend work, and the opportunity to join the Superannuation Pension Scheme. We offer a permanent contract with the following hours: 37.5 hours per week, working a rota of 10am to 6pm and/or 12pm to 8pm, including weekends and bank holidays as needed.
