Job DescriptionStrategic Category Manager, Energy/Utilities Global FMCG Brand Manchester - 75,000 + 15% Bonus + 6,000 car allowance + wider packageThis world leading FMCG brand is enjoying rapid expansion and is pouring investment into their Procurement function to turn into a best-in-class Procurement Hub. As a result, the Firm has created a new position for a Strategic Category Manager, Energy/Utilities to join their journey.As the firms Strategic Category Manager, Energy/Utilities you will play a business partnering role with departmental heads, providing commercial expertise across greenfield categories spanning Energy and Utilities, whilst getting involved with other categories, including but not limited to: Chemical and Co-Packaging.Key role involvements:-Create and implement category strategies for key spend areas aligned with the Business Units and Group Service functionsEnsure procurement policy, processes and spend compliance rules are in placeSupport new product launches within the Business Units (involvement in strategic projects)Present key insight/updates to the key stakeholders covering data analysis & market insight in order to ensure effective planning and decision makingImplement a supplier relationship strategy to achieve the agreed KPIs and to develop sustainable added value potentialCarry out continuous improvement and efficiency reviews within the function and business units with defined action plans detailing accountabilities and timelinesRequired experience, skills & qualifications:-Extensive Category Management experience (5 years plus)Specialist knowledge and experience across Operational Indirect categories (e.g. Energy/Utilities, MRO, CAPEX)Ability to turn strategies and decisions into actionExcellent data interpretation & analysis skillsIf you are an ambitious and highly intelligent Procurement professional looking for a prestigious company in which to invest and progress your career, this is a phenomenal opportunity.To find out more and apply please send your CV to [email protected] or directly through this page.
