Job Description Position: Engineer Location: Worthing Salary: 32,000-34,000FTC: 1 year A global technology and manufacturing organisation is seeking a Junior Engineer to support Production and Production Engineering operations at its Worthing manufacturing facility.This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and continuous improvement of premium audio products and manufacturing processes, supporting quality, delivery, and cost objectives within a safe and efficient production environment.Job OverviewSupport ongoing improvement of products and manufacturing processes to optimise Quality, Delivery, and CostAssist in maintaining factory plant, machinery, and equipment within the manufacturing facilityDevelop practical engineering skills within a general workshop environment, following departmental training matricesContribute to engineering-based concepts and implement continual improvement solutionsParticipate in projects, including definition and selection of new concepts, equipment, and automation technologiesSupport installation of production equipment and tooling, ensuring processes are designed for manufacture and NPIConduct reactive and preventative maintenance activities as required, with support from the engineering teamParticipate in late shift rota and occasional weekend/out-of-hours work to support PPM and project deliveryShare knowledge and assist in training colleagues to reduce departmental and business riskAdhere to departmental processes and procedures in line with ISO 9001:2015 standards, supporting problem solving and root cause analysisRequirementsMinimum Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplineMinimum of 2 years' experience within a manufacturing environmentPractical experience completing machine maintenanceUnderstanding of core manufacturing processesStrong problem-solving skills and organised approach to workAbility to collaborate effectively within engineering and production teamsDesirable skills include:Knowledge of at least one CAD system Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics Experience using Word, Excel, and SAP ERP Working knowledge of lean principles and single piece flow Ability to wire cabinets and interpret electrical diagrams Basic PLC knowledge and fault finding Fabrication skills (Mill and Lathe) Full UK driving licenceSalary & BenefitsHours of WorkFull-time (onsite role based in Worthing, UK)Late shift rota participation (notified in advance)Flexibility required for weekend and out-of-hours support when necessarySalary & BenefitsCompetitive salary 32,000-34,000Employee product discountsExtensive training and development opportunitiesEmployee recognition and rewards programmeInclusive and supportive working environmentOpportunities for career progression?Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.We are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy, and in accordance with GDPR by applying you are granting us consent to process your data, contact you about the services we offer, and submit your CV for the role you have applied for.
