Cancer Admin Support

The Cancer Services Team is seeking a Data Officer to collaborate with the Patient Pathway Coordinator (PPC) and MDT Coordinator Teams. The role involves ensuring patients experience a timely, efficient, and supported journey through their cancer pathway. ResponsibilitiesAccurately record clinical information for all cancer patients. Maintain data entry standards by following established techniques and procedures. Collate missing data and verify information from various sources to ensure completeness and accuracy. Assist the Cancer team in preparing regular monitoring and analysis reports for the patient cohort. Handle sensitive information with clarity and professionalism, especially in challenging situations such as barriers to communication, learning disabilities, or recent bereavements. Respond efficiently to internal and external inquiries from staff, patients, relatives, GPs, and other hospitals. Candidate RequirementsAbility to manage a diverse workload independently. Excellent communication skills. Organized, systematic, and accurate working style. Basic understanding of medical terminology. Knowledge of Caldicott information governance guidelines. Successful applicants will demonstrate initiative and the ability to work effectively within a team. The position may be offered as fixed-term, substantive, full-time, or part-time, depending on the discussion at interview.
