Job Description Maintenance Technician (Part Time, On Call)Location: WorksopSalary: 18,388 to 22,985 + On Call PaymentsJob Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (potential extension) We are currently recruiting for a Part Time Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician to join a food manufacturing site in Worksop. This is a unique opportunity for someone looking for reduced hours while still being involved in a hands on engineering role. Please note: This role includes a significant on call commitment, so we are looking for candidates who are comfortable with this level of responsibility.Working Pattern This role is structured around a 3 week cycle:Core Hours (Part Time): Week 1: 6am to 2pm Week 2: 6am to 2pm Week 3: 10am to 6pm + on call weekYou will typically work: 2 days per week (16 hours) OR Potentially 50% hours (5 days over 2 weeks) depending on the candidate On Call Requirement (Key Part of Role) 1 full week on call every 3 weeks (including weekends) Includes bank holidays if they fall within your on call week On call is paid separately and can significantly increase overall earningsTypical On Call Payments:On Call Requirement (Key Part of Role)1 full week on call every 3 weeks (including weekends)Includes bank holidays if they fall within your on call weekOn Call Payments:Approx. 298 per on call week (paid only during your on call week)This equates to roughly 100 per week on average across the full cycleAdditional payments for phone support and site attendanceMinimum payments apply for all call outs On call payments are paid in addition to your base salaryAbout The RoleKey responsibilities include: Planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support Fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems Supporting continuous production and site operations Maintaining strict food safety, hygiene, and GMP standards Completing maintenance records and working within permit systems What We Are Looking ForEssential: Maintenance experience within food, FMCG, or similar environment Strong mechanical and or electrical fault finding skills Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards Flexible approach to working hours and on call commitmentDesirable: Engineering qualification (NVQ, City and Guilds, Apprenticeship) Electrical qualifications or PLC experienceWhy Apply?
