This role does not offer sponsorship.We now have a fantastic opportunity for an English Teacher to join our close-knit team at Norton College in Worcester.About the role:Are you an English Teacher committed to improving the lives of pupils and young people?As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experiencedEnglish Teacher to join our fantastic team at Norton College in Worcester.To provide a high-quality education service for our students in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practices and the standards set by the Regulatory Body. To work with the Head Teacher, leadership team and other stakeholders to secure high standards throughout the school.Main Purpose:To teach the English curriculum throughout KS3 and KS4.To support students in achieving Functional skills an or GCSE English qualificationsEnsure that the curriculum offer meets the needs of individual students taking into account their likes and interests.Work closely with key students or groups of students, as identified by the Senior Leadership Team or the Head of Pastoral Support, to help develop their interests and positive engagement in education, social activities and peer interactions.To support students who have a variety of complex social, emotional and mental health needs including Autism to access and achieve in education across a range of academic, vocational and recreational activities.Make effective use of the data system to support management of behaviour and maintain relevant database.Essential:QTSEducation Degree or equivalent experienceExperience working with SEN, SEMH studentsUnderstanding of trauma informed approachesAbout usNorton College is a specialist school for secondary students aged 11-19 in Worcester and Tewkesbury.Norton College is a specialist independent provider that aims to positively support young people who have a range of complex learning needs through vocational courses and bespoke learning packages.We are part of Acorn Education and can promise you plenty of challenges, and a rich variety of opportunities to develop your career.
