This is a fantastic permanent opportunity to grow your career within one of the UK's most respected facilities management partnerships, supporting leading institution across England and Wales.The RoleAs a key part of our maintenance team, you'll be responsible for general building and facilities support across the prison estate, including:Carrying out general maintenance tasks and supporting trades on siteAssisting with DIY activities such as decorating, installing noticeboards, furniture assembly, and small repairsEscorting contractors working within secure areas when requiredChecking fittings, appliances and equipment, reporting any defectsMaintaining good housekeeping around the site - including litter picking or basic landscapingEnsuring safe working practices and supporting the FM team with day to day dutiesYou'll play an important role in helping us keep essential facilities running smoothly and safely.The RequirementsWe're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and keen to learn:Strong practical/DIY skills and experience in general building maintenanceGood time management and the ability to work as part of a teamWillingness to develop new skills and adapt to a varied workloadCITB certification or an NVQ trade qualification (preferred)A positive attitude and commitment to safe working practicesIf you have most-but not all-of these skills, we still encourage you to apply.
