Were looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to support the smooth and safe operation of modern production lines. Youll play an important role in ensuring equipment reliability and optimising the manufacturing process within a fast-paced food production environment. As a Maintenance Engineer, youll provide both reactive and proactive maintenance support, diagnose faults, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance performance, safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Work safely at all times, following company health, safety and hygiene standards. Complete planned preventive maintenance to schedule, documenting all work accurately. Respond quickly to breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs. Support the Maintenance Coordinator in achieving departmental objectives. Carry out electrical and mechanical fault-finding, ensuring minimal downtime. Participate in improvement projects and suggest solutions to reduce waste and increase productivity. Ensure compliance with site procedures, permits to work and contractor management processes. Maintain knowledge of PLC systems, pneumatic controls, and automation technologies. Provide technical support to other engineers and production staff. About You Qualified to ONC / City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 (electrical and/or mechanical engineering). Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or processing environment (food industry preferred). Strong problem-solving, diagnostic and fault-finding abilities. Why Join Us?
