Production Manager

Job Description ACJ Search are partnering with a defence manufacturer based in Wolverhampton who are actively recruiting for a Production Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the site Head of Manufacturing, this role will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the production areas.The key objectives of the role are as follows:Ensure project needs are met for allocation of resource and progress of activityDrive a continuous improvement culture throughout the organizationSupport the Head of Manufacturing in the day to day running of the production areasPut quality at the heart of the production processes and ensure that all systems are strictly adhered toCoach, mentor and lead the production teamTake accountability for the delivery of the weekly production planWe are keen to speak with people who can demonstrate a strong production management background aligned with the following skills and experience:A strong knowledge of metal fabrication and weldingProven track record in people managementUnderstanding of lean principles and a track record of implementationThis is an on-site role based in Wolverhampton.
