Legal Counsel Fixed Term Contract

Job DescriptionLeading industrial business based in Birmingham with national and European operations is seeking a Legal Counsel for a fixed-term contract. The role is full-time and offers an excellent opportunity to develop your in-house legal career within a friendly and supportive environment. Reporting to a supportive Head of Legal, you will gain exposure to strategic and operational activities, including: Commercial contract matters Regulatory and compliance issues M&A activities IP and trademarks Training delivery Managing external counsel Driving process change and legal tech projects Candidates should have at least 3-4 years PQE, with experience gained in-house or as a commercial lawyer. Strong communication skills, autonomy, and a tactful problem-solving approach are essential. The team is proactive and collaborative, with the Head of Legal serving as a mentor to help you understand the sector's complexities. Salary ranges from £65,000 to £80,000 plus benefits. The role is based in Birmingham city centre, requiring 3 days per week onsite. The position can be flexible for part-time at 4 days per week to accommodate candidates' needs.
