Maintenance Team Leader

We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations within a busy manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for an experienced senior engineer or established team leader who enjoys leading by example while staying involved in practical engineering work. As a Maintenance Team Leader, youll be responsible for ensuring that machinery and equipment are maintained to the highest standards, coordinating workloads, and supporting the team in fault-finding and breakdown response. You will play a key role in improving reliability, safety and efficiency across the site. Key Responsibilities Lead and support a team of maintenance engineers on shift. Carry out hands-on mechanical and/or electrical maintenance as required. Plan and prioritise work to minimise downtime and maximise productivity. Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company standards. Assist with training, mentoring and performance reviews within the team. Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives. Communicate effectively with production, engineering and management teams. About You Proven experience as a Maintenance Team Leader or Senior Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or production environment. Qualified in either mechanical or electrical engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach. Able to work effectively on a 4 on / 4 off day shift pattern. Proactive attitude with a focus on safety, teamwork and continuous improvement. Why Join Us?
