Business Development Manager (HVAC / BMS) - Up to 55,000 Location: Surrey Salary: Competitive base + commission + company vehicle + benefits Are you a technically minded Business Development Manager looking for a role where you can make a real impact, take ownership, and be rewarded for results? This is a hands-on, varied position where youll play a key role in driving business growth. Youll identify and win new service contracts and project opportunities, nurture long-term client relationships, and become a trusted technical advisor to your customers. The Role Proactively identify, develop, and secure new service and project opportunities within HVAC and BMS. Manage and grow existing customer relationships to maximise retention and repeat business. Develop a strong understanding of the companys mechanical and electrical service offering. Prepare tenders, quotes, and proposals, ensuring commercial and technical accuracy. Work closely with operations and estimating teams to deliver quality solutions for clients. Provide technical insight and problem-solving support to customers. Key Performance Indicators Quarterly and annual revenue versus target. New customer wins (number and value). Pipeline value, quality, and conversion rates. Gross profit margin (quoted vs delivered). Customer retention and repeat business rate. CRM hygiene and forecast accuracy. Qualified leads generated per month. About You 37+ years B2B sales or business development experience in HVAC, building services, M&E, or mechanical contracting. Proven record of securing mid-to-large HVAC projects or service contracts. Solid technical understanding of air-conditioning systems (Boilers, VRF, Chilled Water, AHUs, Splits; BMS experience desirable). Experience in tendering, pricing, and commercial negotiation. Competent with CRM systems and MS Office tools. Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel to client sites. Desirable Existing network among end users, M&E contractors, FM providers or consultants. Experience selling service and maintenance agreements or aftermarket solutions. Personal Attributes Commercially astute and results-driven. Strong technical communicator who can translate features into business value. Organised, self-motivated, and collaborative.
