Job DescriptionWe're looking for a Design Manager to join our Eastern South Construction team working on a large 100m plus defence project in SuffolknLocation: Essex office, Suffolk sitennWhat will you be responsible for?nAs a Design Manager, you'll be working within the Eastern South team in Witham, Essex on a large defence project - The site location is SuffolknnManage the design process during the pre-construction and as required, the construction phase.nInterrogation of enquiry documents, in the form of an Employer's Requirements.nProduction of a Contractor's Proposal document in liaison with other internal departments.nManage our design process via external consultants.nDrive innovative and cost effective solutions into the design.nProgress design issues within a strict timescale & ensure designers meet information delivery dates.nAttend tender launch /tender adjudication and launch meetings as required.nnnWhat are we looking for?nThis role ofDesign Manager is great for you if you have:nnExperience of delivering high value, complex design work from the main contractor perspectivenAbility to organise, plan, programme and manage workloadsnUnderstanding of Building Regulations and Planning Permission proceduresnUnderstanding of different Client procurement routesnExperience of site/contract procedures would be an advantagennWe're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome!
