Job Description This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a global dealer network in a growing UK engineering business and play a key role in shaping the next phase of its international growth.Aconda designs and manufactures specialist industrial carriers, sold worldwide through a network of distributors. Following our move into a new, purpose-built facility, weve significantly increased capacity and are seeing strong international demand.The opportunity now is to turn that demand into structured, consistent, high-quality sales performance across our global network.We are also proud recipients of the Kings Award for Innovation, reflecting the strength of our product and engineering capability..The Role:This is a hands-on, high-impact role with real ownership.Youll take responsibility for improving the performance of our international dealer network, strengthening key relationships, and introducing greater structure and commercial discipline across how we operate globally.Working directly with the Managing Director, youll have the autonomy to shape how the network develops and how international sales is built as the business grows.What Youll Be Responsible For:Dealer Performance & Development (Primary Focus)Manage and develop relationships with international dealers across key marketsImprove consistency of performance across a mixed networkbuilding on strong partners and raising standards where neededIntroduce more structured forecasting, target setting, and performance trackingSupport dealers to improve capability, while holding them accountable for resultsApply commercial pressure where required, without damaging long-term relationshipsNew Dealer Identification (Secondary)Identify and appoint high-quality distributors in selected new marketsStrengthen coverage in regions with clear growth potentialCommercial Discipline & StructureImprove visibility of pipeline, activity, and performance across the networkContribute to pricing, margin, and deal quality decisionsAct as the central commercial link between dealers and the businessBuilding the Sales FunctionEstablish processes and ways of working that can scale as the business growsContribute to the future development of an international sales team over timeWhat Success Looks Like (First 12 Months):Measurable improvement in performance across existing dealersClear visibility of forecasts, pipeline, and activityGreater consistency and professionalism in how dealers operateStronger engagement and accountability across the networkTargeted addition of high-quality new dealers where neededWhat Were Looking For:ExperienceProven track record in international sales within machinery, capital equipment, or engineered productsStrong experience working through distributor/dealer networksBackground in export-led businessesCommercial CapabilityComfortable owning dealer performance, targets, and forecastsAble to balance support and challengedeveloping partners while driving resultsUnderstands margins, pricing, and deal qualityTechnical UnderstandingAble to confidently sell engineered productsComfortable with technical concepts and industry-relevant measurementsPersonal ApproachHands-on and self-sufficientComfortable operating without a large existing structureAble to build relationships across multiple levelsWilling to travel internationallyAbout Aconda:Were a growing, ambitious, owner-led UK manufacturer with a strong international footprint and a clear focus on doing things properly.We operate through a dealer-led model and expect high standards from our partners.
