Job Description Job Title: Software PLC ProgrammerLocation: UK & Ireland (50/50 field-based and site-based)International Travel: Very occasional (up to 3 trips per year)Industry: Food / FMCG / Pharma / PackagingKey ResponsibilitiesPLC programming and fault-finding (from scratch and existing systems)HMI software development and modification using:SiemensAllen BradleyOmronAssisting with the development and improvement of automation infrastructureSupporting and delivering project workElectrical (EL) systems involvementPLC functional flow (FF) programmingSoftware alterations and optimisation of existing programmesOn-site installation support and commissioning activitiesSupporting breakdown response and improving PPM efficiencyTravel RequirementsUK & Ireland travel (approximately 50% field-based)Very rare international travel (approx. 3 times per year) to:Headquarters and manufacturing base in JapanSubsidiaries and sales network across North America, Europe, and AsiaSkills, Experience & BackgroundEssential:Strong PLC programming and fault-finding capabilityExperience with Siemens, Allen Bradley, and/or Omron systemsAbility to work independently and take ownership of a new roleIdeal Backgrounds:Recently completed an apprenticeshipField Service EngineerMaintenance Engineer with strong PLC FF and programming skillsIndustry Experience (preferred):Food,FMCG,Pharma,PackagingTraining & DevelopmentIn-house training alongside experienced field engineersPackage & BenefitsSalary: 45,000 - 55,000Company CarMobile phone, laptop, and company credit cardPension: 5% employer contributionLife Assurance: YesPrivate Healthcare: Permanent healthcare schemeWorking Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pmShift Pattern: Days onlyJBRP1_UKTJ
