Job Description Your new companyA multi-academy trust has approached Hays looking for an Interim IT Technician to work at one of their high schools in the Wirral, Liverpool. The trust values innovation, inclusivity, and collaboration, ensuring that both staff and students thrive in a supportive environment.Your new roleAs an IT Technician, you will play a vital role in enabling pupils' access to learning by providing technical advice and support in the practical and technical aspects of IT. Reporting to the Network Manager, you will:Prepare, maintain, and organise IT equipment and materials for lessons, exams, and assessments.Ensure networks and computer systems run efficiently, are regularly tested, and backed up.Maintain and repair hardware, peripherals, and software, commissioning external support when required.Manage data security, access rights, and system updates.Provide technical advice and training to staff and pupils, supporting safe and sensible use of IT.Contribute to extracurricular activities such as IT clubs and open dayYou will be working Monday-Friday 0800-1600 on site.
