We are currently looking for a permanent Speech & Language Therapist based in Windsor. This role is based in Windsor, in an independent specialist day school, with both primary and secondary settings providing high quality education. The school meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviours. Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children’s homes, we provide unrivalled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise and breadth of provision. Our young people present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions and special educational needs.As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team you will be supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments and, based on clinical assessment and formulation, offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people. You’ll also be assessing our young people’s mental health and recommend appropriate interventions in a personalised care plan. Building rapport is key, by doing this you’ll be able to deliver effective counselling and feedback on progress.ResponsibilitiesBe a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPCBe a specialist with proven skills and experience to engage and deliver therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needsNeed experience of supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure they are being provided with clinically informed living and learning environments and experiencesBe a confident, engaging and effective model, guide, leader and trainerBe highly organised and ready to take the initiativeQualificationsBe a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.Required SkillsProven skills and experience to engage and deliver therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needsExperience of supporting teams around a child or young personConfidence in being an effective model, guide, leader and trainerHighly organised and proactive Preferred SkillsExperience in clinical settingsAbility to build rapport with young peoplePay range and compensation package£41,983 - £49,717 (including paid school holidays) + excellent benefits.Equal Opportunity StatementThis is a great opportunity to change young lives and have a positive impact on their future.
