With a strong heritage in precision manufacturing and materials expertise, the business is continuing to invest heavily in technology, people and operational excellence as it transforms and expands into new markets and programmes.As a result, the business is now looking to recruit an experienced quality leader for one of their key UK manufacturing sites during an exciting period of growth and capability expansion.This appointment represents an exciting opportunity to join a business where engineering excellence, quality and customer trust are fundamental to success, and where the quality function plays a central role in shaping future capability.The Role Quality ManagerThe incoming Quality Manager will be responsible for the leadership, development, maintenance, and continual improvement of the site Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with all applicable third-party standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.Acting as the site Quality Champion, the role provides visible leadership to embed a culture of quality, customer focus, and right-first-time performance across the organisation.As the appointed Management Representative for Quality, the role holder has authority and accountability for quality performance and product conformance. The Quality Manager works in close partnership with the Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager who holds primary responsibility for site-wide continuous improvement strategy ensuring that quality-led improvements are aligned to broader operational excellence initiatives.Key Requirements:Degree qualified in engineering or a related discipline5+ years in a Quality Manager or senior quality leadership role within manufacturingExperience in automotive and/or aerospace quality environmentsStrong working knowledge of IATF 16949 and AS9100 quality standardsExpertise with core quality tools including APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA and structured problem solving (8D / RCCA)Experience leading quality teams, audits and compliance systemsAbility to interpret engineering drawings and technical specificationsThis opportunity would suit a credible and influential quality leader who enjoys operating in a technically complex, fast-moving manufacturing environment and wants to play a key role in supporting the next stage of growth for a globally recognised engineering business.
