Job Description Were supporting a global leader in chromatography and mass spectrometry who is expanding their Clinical Diagnostics business and hiring a Director-level clinical expert to shape the future of LC-MS/MS adoption in hospital laboratories.This is a senior, high-impact role focused on ensuring LC-MS becomes a routine clinical diagnostics platform globally, not just a specialist tool used in niche settings.The team is looking for someone with real credibility in clinical laboratories, ideally someone who has operated at Clinical Laboratory Director / Head of Laboratory / Department Lead level and understands how LC-MS is used day-to-day in diagnostic decision-making.You will act as the clinical authority for LC-MS/MS diagnostics, working closely with cross-functional teams across R&D, Regulatory, Quality and Commercial to ensure clinical solutions are aligned to real-world hospital lab needs.This is not a sales role and not a purely R&D position. Its a strategic clinical leadership role with significant influence over clinical direction, portfolio decisions, and global adoption.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide senior clinical insight into LC-MS/MS workflows and diagnostic adoption challengesEngage with clinical labs, clinicians and stakeholders to understand unmet diagnostic needsShape strategy across key clinical application areas (e.g. toxicology, TDM, endocrinology, newborn screening)Support internal teams with clinical requirements, validation considerations and real-world usabilityPartner cross-functionally to support regulatory and clinical evidence generation where neededContribute to global adoption strategy and long-term clinical positioningWhat Theyre Looking ForStrong LC-MS / LC-MS/MS experience within a clinical diagnostics environmentSenior hospital / clinical lab leadership background (Director, Head of Lab, Service Lead, Department Lead)Experience operating in regulated diagnostic settings (ISO15189 / UKAS / CAP / CLIA or similar)Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence cross-functionallyComfortable operating at Director-level with global visibilityLocation / Working StyleHybrid, with 3 days on-site.
