General Operative Dual Role (Test Tank & Packing Department) Location: Willenhall Salary: 12.21 per hour / 24,761 per year (39-hour contract) Hours: MonThurs 07:0016:00, Fri 07:0012:00 Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Are you reliable, hardworking and looking for a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing environment? Were a leading manufacturer and distributor of heated towel rails and radiators, and were looking for a General Operative to join our team in a varied dual role covering Test Tank Operations, Van Driver Cover, Returns Support and Packing . The Role This is a versatile position involving responsibilities across several departments, including: Test Tank Operator / Van Driver Cover Water pressure testing towel radiators Soaking towel rails in soak tanks and returning leaking items for repair Cleaning and maintaining soak tanks and test tanks Heavy lifting and manual handling Loading/unloading vans Managing the shutter door throughout the day for drivers and deliveries Handling high-value goods with care Covering van driving to our warehouse, polishing unit and subcontractors in Telford, Wolverhampton and Birmingham Managing cardboard waste daily bailing and transporting to recycling General Operative Returns & Packing Department Morning duties (with Returns Department Manager): Unboxing towel rails and repackaging products Sorting items for scrap Heavy lifting Loading and unloading vans From approx. 10am (Packing Department): Picking and packing accessories (time-sensitive, same-day despatch) Ensuring accuracy with SKU codes Topping up cardboard box racks Oil filling towel rails following job card specifications Packaging towel rails and protecting high-value items Cardboard bailing when required What Were Looking For Strong work ethic reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently Good understanding of English (written and verbal) Comfortable with heavy lifting and manual work Good attention to detail Ability to manage workflow and move between departments as required Experience in warehousing, packing or manufacturing is beneficial but not essential Full UK driving licence preferred (for van cover) What We Offer Permanent full-time contract Friendly and supportive working environment Varied, hands-on role with cross-department exposure How to Apply If you're a reliable, hardworking individual looking for a long-term position within a growing business, wed love to hear from you.
