Job OverviewRead the overview of this opportunity to understand what skills, including and relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required.Grant Store Limited is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Manager / Qualified Supervisor (QS) to support and oversee our growing portfolio of Solar PV and Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) installations.This is a key leadership and compliance-focused position within the business, combining hands-on electrical expertise with quality management responsibilities. The Electrical Manager / QS plays a vital role ensuring that all Solar PV and ASHP electrical works are completed to the highest standards of safety, performance, and compliance.The role is structured to provide a balanced mix of operational and supervisory duties. The successful candidate will spend approximately four days per week actively engaged in electrical installations, inspection, testing, fault finding, and remedial works across a range of sites. This ensures continued involvement in practical delivery and a strong understanding of day-to-day project requirements.One day per week will be dedicated to Qualified Supervisor responsibilities. During this time, the postholder will oversee the technical standard of works completed by other electricians, carry out desktop audits, review certification, and formally sign off installations in line with current electrical regulations and scheme provider requirements.ResponsibilitiesQuality Supervision, Sign-Off & AuditingSign off completed electrical works carried out by other electricians where authorisedCarry out desktop audits of electrical certification, test results, and job documentationReview quality, compliance, and technical accuracy of completed Solar PV and ASHP installationsIdentify non-conformances and raise corrective actions where requiredProvide technical guidance and support to site electriciansEnsure documentation is completed accurately and submitted on timeSupport continuous improvement in quality, compliance, and best practiceComplete annual company NICEIC and MCS AuditsOn-Site Electrical WorksCarry out electrical installation works in line with drawings, specifications, and regulations, including Solar PV systems and Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP), and various electrical installations.Complete and rectify electrical remedial works as identified during inspections or auditsDiagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and safelyEnsure all works comply with current wiring regulations and company standardsComplete electrical testing where required and record results accuratelyMaintain a high standard of workmanship across all installationsWork safely at all times, following risk assessments and method statementsCommunicate technical issuesEnsure tools, equipment, and materials are used correctly and maintainedConduct on site surveys when requiredQualificationsPrevious experience or familiarity with the xjdpvnf Qualified Supervisor (QS) role within the last 2 yearsEssential 18th Edition certification amendment 2Essential 2391 certificationEssential Level 3 Electrical Installation qualificationEssential Solar PV (Level 3)Essential Battery Storage qualificationProficient computer skills and familiarity with bespoke platformsEssential possession of a Gold CardValid Driving LicenceCandidate Requirements:Strong technical knowledge of current electrical regulations and renewable energy standardsProven hands-on installation experience in Solar PV and ASHP systemsExperience in inspection, testing, and certificationHigh attention to detail and commitment to complianceAbility to balance operational and supervisory responsibilities effectivelyBenefits:Company carCompany eventsCompany pensionFree parkingOn-site parking
