Qualified Veterinary Nurse

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our veterinary practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients, supporting veterinarians, and ensuring a comfortable environment for both animals and clients. Duties Assisting veterinarians during consultations, surgeries, and examinations Administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed Monitoring anaesthesia and assisting with surgical procedures Collecting and processing laboratory samples for diagnostic testing Providing pre- and post-operative care to animals Maintaining detailed medical records for all patients Cleaning and sterilising surgical instruments and equipment Advising clients on animal health, nutrition, and general care Supporting the team with administrative tasks as required Qualifications Previous veterinary experience is essential, demonstrating familiarity with clinical procedures and animal handling Laboratory experience is highly desirable, including sample collection and processing techniques Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and patient care Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team A recognised qualification in veterinary nursing or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicantsThis role provides an enriching environment for individuals passionate about animal health, offering opportunities for professional growth within a supportive team.Job Type: Full-timePay: 32,000.00-33,500.00 per yearBenefits: Employee discount Store discountWork Location: In person
