Technical Coordinator Introduction A leading 5-star housebuilder based in Wakefield is seeking an experienced Technical Coordinator to join its dynamic team. Known for delivering high-quality residential developments, the company is committed to excellence in design and construction. This role is central to the successful delivery of projects, ensuring that all technical information is accurately coordinated and communicated across internal departments and external consultants.The successful candidate will have several years of experience in housebuilding as a Technical Coordinator and will report directly to the Technical Manager and Technical Director. Acting as the key link between leadership and the technical team, ensuring that all necessary approvals are obtained and information is issued promptly to facilitate smooth site starts.The role of a Technical CoordinatorComply with the company Life of Sire processesEnsure all drawings and details are accurate and commercially suitable throughout the design and construction phases.Coordinate and chair design team meetings with internal and external participantsCoordinate the planning process where required and review planning approval to ensure conditions are addressed before starting on siteAgree construction specification, SAP, and beam strategy for the projectCoordinate the submission of a Building Control application and supporting documentationAssist Commercial and Buying teams in the review and approval of subcontractor design informationEnsure cost-effective design control and buildabilityMaintain and manage all current drawings/documents/information for all new build contracts on the Viewpoint PlatformReview and check contract documentation, warranties, and bond requirements in liaison with the Contracts ManagerApply for and secure statutory body approval of the Engineering Design and ground remediationAttend site visits and meetings to solve issues that arise during the construction processRequirementsProven experience as a Technical Coordinator within the housebuilding industryBehave in line with company valuesFull UK driving licenceProject management and supervision skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to confidently challenge decisions made by othersAbility to communicate well with individuals at all levelsProficient in MS Office programmesBenefitsUp to 55k Salary (DOE)5.5k car allowance25 days holiday + bank holidaysPension & healthcareJBRP1_UKTJ
