Job Description Were Hiring: Protection Applications Design Engineer (Protection and Control)Were seeking an experienced Protection Applications Design Engineer to deliver protection design services across 11kV132kV distribution networks. Role OverviewYoull design and integrate feeder, transformer and busbar protection schemes (11kV, 20kV, 33kV, 66kV & 132kV), including customer interface protection, SCADA integration, metering and power quality monitoring.Projects include asset replacement, network reinforcement, smart grid upgrades, diversions, and new demand/generation connections.Key Responsibilities:Produce protection, tripping logic & connection diagramsSpecify CTs/VTs, relay panels & cablingDevelop relay settings & IEC61850/DNP3 filesApply UK protection standards (ENATS, TPS, BEBS, Elexon)Use MicroStation V8i and/or AutoCADSupport FAT, testing & commissioningInterface with customers 'stakeholdersDeliver to time, cost & quality targetsRequirements:Strong protection design experience (11kV132kV)Advanced CAD skillsExperience integrating into live operational systemsAbility to obtain operational substation authorisations
