With a fast-paced operation and strong reputation for quality, the business is committed to maintaining the highest standards in food safety, compliance and product quality.The RoleWe are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join the technical team. Reporting to the Depot Technical Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring food safety and quality standards are maintained across the site.You will lead and motivate a small but highly engaged quality team, working closely with operational departments to ensure compliance with internal procedures, legal requirements and customer standards. The role will involve driving continuous improvement within the sites Quality Management System while supporting the depot to maintain excellent standards during internal and external audits.This is a hands-on role within a busy depot environment, requiring strong collaboration with operational teams and technical colleagues across other sites.Key AccountabilitiesManage food safety and quality standards across the depot operationLead and support the site Quality Assurance team in day-to-day activitiesMaintain and continuously improve the site Quality Management SystemConduct internal audits and support external audit preparation and complianceIdentify non-compliance issues and work with the depot management team to implement corrective actionsOversee the inspection and quality management of products received, stored and dispatchedMonitor and report on departmental KPIs and quality performance metricsManage quality and food safety complaints, ensuring thorough investigation and timely resolutionMaintain strong working relationships with operational teams and technical colleagues across other group sitesChampion a positive food safety and quality culture across the depotPerson ProfileThe successful candidate will bring experience working within a food manufacturing, fresh produce or food distribution environment and have a strong understanding of quality and food safety systems.You will have:Experience working with BRCGS standards and quality management systemsHACCP and Food Safety qualifications (Level 3 or equivalent)Experience conducting internal or supplier auditsStrong organisational and prioritisation skillsExcellent communication skills and the ability to influence across all levels of the businessA proactive and detail-oriented approach to quality and complianceThe ability to lead, motivate and develop a small teamStrong IT and numerical skills to analyse data and monitor performanceExcellent level of written and spoken EnglishYou will also be comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.REF: PR/013246Due to a high volume of responses, we cannot reply to each application individually.
