Procurement Manager – 6 Month FTC £60,000 plus PackageWest Yorkshire Excellent opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager from the food industry to join a business in an exciting growth period.My client is a large food manufacturing business with multiple sites around the world.They are in urgent need of an experienced Procurement Manager who has worked in the food manufacturing industry to join the business on a six-month contract.This role is hybrid, you will need to be based on site (West Yorkshire) a couple of days a week, the rest working from home.The business is growing at such a rate that they really need someone who can come in and hit the ground running, so previous experience in a food manufacturing business is essential to apply for this contract.Reporting into the Head of Food Innovation and Sourcing for the UK, you will have one direct report to manage, a Procurement Executive.You will manage the Procurement for your site but will also work cross functionally on projects with Procurement Managers from other UK sites.This role isn’t just about getting the right ingredients and packaging and the right price by working closely with customers and Supply Chain teams but also working with NPD, Technical and Sustainability teams to ensure you are sourcing even more sustainably. You’ll achieve this by visiting suppliers, spending time at the UK sites and understanding the full end to end value chain.You’ll bring your confidence and influential negotiation skills to the table to select, appoint and manage key suppliers to drive efficiency and unlock value across a portfolio of food products.Overall Purpose:Development, implementation & maintenance of optimal sourcing strategies for key spend areasTender management, negotiation and implementation of supplier agreementsDevelopment & implementation of appropriate supplier management activities for all key suppliers across the portfolioWork closely with the Team across all UK and Group as a key contributor to the decision-making framework for new productsDevelop strong relationships with key stakeholders as appropriatePerson Spec:Demonstrable procurement experience in the food industryPrevious experience of FMCG food manufacturing operationsWorking towards/CIPS qualified – beneficial but not essentialCustomer mindsetPlease get in touch today if you are available in the next couple of weeks.Ref NCM56306
