This is a pivotal leadership role that involves managing a skilled team of mechanical design engineers and overseeing the full design lifecycle from concept through to delivery.If you're driven by technical excellence, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to shape engineering solutions used worldwide, wed love to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Oversight: Transform sales and application data into conceptual layouts and detailed design instructions with minimal technical variation.Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of engineers, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of high-quality technical designs.Project Delivery: Manage the design process to ensure completion within agreed timelines, budget, and quality standards.Technical Excellence: Approve design outputs, drawings, and materials while ensuring compliance with legislation, customer specifications, and internal procedures.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Applications, and Project Management teams to ensure all technical requirements are met.Innovation & Improvement: Identify opportunities for non-contract product modifications and support continuous improvement across engineering functions.What Youll NeedQualifications & Experience:HND/HNC (minimum - Degree preferred) in Mechanical EngineeringAt least 8 years experience in manufacturing designProficiency in Autodesk Inventor 3DDemonstrable team leadership experienceKnowledge of health & safety regulationsCompetency with MS Office toolsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAdditional Requirements:Willingness and flexibility to travel in the UK and internationallyFull UK driving licenceWhats in It for YouJoin a dynamic and supportive engineering environment where your expertise and leadership will be valued.
