If you want your work to matter and your skills to grow, wed love to hear from you.Your Role:The prime role of a Legal Secretary is to provide secretarial support to the care team lawyers. To exercise high standards of client care at all times in a professional and pleasant manner. To ensure confidentiality and security of all the firms and client documentation and information. To maintain clear and precise communication with other personnel within the firm.To ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations. To undertake any reasonable task as requested.Your responsibilities will include: Typing documents including court documents, emails and file notes, etc for the fee earnersPreparing legal aid applicationsOpening files on the case management systemAnswering calls and assisting clients with enquiriesLiaising with clients/professionals to arrange appointments/meetings, etc.Dealing with incoming emails/post and corresponding as appropriateDigital dictation (BigHand)Ensuring the case management database is continually kept updated.Ensuring files are fully time recorded for billingPreparing bundles.Assisting other fee earners within the team.Ensuring the experts register is updated.Providing cover for other secretaries in their absencePerson specification - key skills/qualifications required: Previous experience of working within a Care department at a firm of solicitors, or other similar experience.Good telephone mannerGood typing skills and use of digital dictationHighly motivatedHighly organisedWillingness to take on new tasks.Proactive and using initiative.EfficientAble to prioritise workloads of different fee earners.Our offerCompetitive salaryWork life balanceHybrid working is available after a probation period.25 days holiday plus statutory, plus extra days for long service.An extra days holiday for your birthday2 x days off for Life Admin DaysHealth Scheme2 x Non -Contractual Bonuses per yearPensionChristmas party get togethers.Equal OpportunityAn equal opportunity employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against based on race, colour, religion or belief, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnic or national origin, disability, age pregnancy or maternity, marital or civil partner status, or any other consideration prohibited by law.
