Job Title: Class 1 Bitumen Tanker Driver Location: Purfleet Pay Rate: 25.00 per hour Hours: Full-time 40 hours guaranteed per week Start Times: Between 2:00pm and 7:00pm Working Days: Monday to Friday About the Role We are recruiting an experienced and safety-focused Class 1 Driver to join our customers team. The role involves the safe transportation and delivery of hot bitumen, working Monday to Friday with afternoon and evening start times. Key Responsibilities Safe loading, transportation, and delivery of hot bitumen using articulated tankers Operating tanker equipment in line with company procedures and health 'safety regulations Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reports Accurate completion of delivery paperwork Full compliance with tachograph, driver hours, and HGV legislation Representing the company professionally at all customer sites Requirements Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence (minimum two years) Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card ADR Licence with Class 9 (minimum requirement) Previous bitumen and/or tanker experience preferred (training may be provided) Strong health 'safety awareness Reliable, flexible, and professional approach to work What We Offer 25 per hour Guaranteed 40 hours pay per week Monday to Friday work no weekends Afternoon / evening start times (2pm7pm) Ongoing training and support Modern, well-maintained vehicles Long-term, stable employment Full PPE These roles will work alongside the core drivers on site.
