Job DescriptionJob Title: Procurement & Operations DirectorLocation: West Sussex | UK-based with some international travelJob Type: Full-time | Permanent | Office basedIndustry: Mining, Oil&Gas and InfrastructureI'm working exclusively to recruit a highly experienced Procurement & Operations Director for a strategic leadership role with responsibility across procurement, supply chain, commercial delivery, operations and project execution with a focus on international markets and long-term growth.Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will play a key role on the Senior Management Team, driving operational excellence and ensuring cross-functional performance across the business.Key Responsibilities:Lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams across procurement, supply chain, and project deliveryDrive operational efficiency, profitability, and process improvementManage relationships with suppliers, partners, and key clients internationallyOversee UK Export Finance (UKEF) / ECA applications and ensure compliance throughoutSet and monitor KPIs, customer conversion metrics, and margin performanceLead on sourcing strategy, tenders, quotations, and pricing approvalsCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless operationsRepresent the business at executive level with external stakeholdersSupport business expansion through occasional international travelWho Im Looking For:Proven leadership experience at Director level within procurement, operations, or supply chainExperience working in at least one of the following industries - Oil&Gas, Mining or Infrastructure. Exposure across all would be desirable.Strong commercial acumen and a strategic, growth-focused mindsetEffective communicator and stakeholder managerHands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and mentor teamsComfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic, international environmentExperience with UKEF or export finance processes is highly desirableExperience working on projects in Europe, Middle East and Africa is desirable.This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior operator looking to take ownership of a complex, globally focused role within a values-led organisation.
