Were looking for a motivated and community-focused Waste Management Officer to join their team and support the delivery of high-quality waste services in partnership with Biffa. Key Responsibilities Monitor and maintain the performance of our waste contracts. Work closely with Biffa and internal council teams to identify and implement service improvements. Lead annual community engagement campaigns to promote green waste sign-ups. Represent the council at public events and liaise with residents. Collaborate with the Communications team to deliver recycling and waste initiatives. About You Experience in waste management , recycling , or environmental services , ideally within local government or the commercial waste sector (e.g., Biffa, Veolia, SUEZ). Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Confident in planning and attending community events. Passionate about sustainability and service improvement.
