Childcare Paralegal

We are currently partnering with a Local Authority body based in the West Midlands, who are recruiting for a Childcare Paralegal to join their growing team on a 3 month minimum contract.This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of circa £25.00/hour via an Umbrella company (negotiable) and the start date is subject to notice. Office presence is required 2x per week.Duties will include (but are not limited to): Supporting the provisions of childcare legal adviceDrafting court applications and routine pleadingsPreparing and reviewing documents, statements and orders for the purpose of court proceedings Liaising with 3rd party agencies to obtain evidence Filing and serving documents Providing advice where necessaryUndertaking legal research Instructing Counsel and negotiating fees.Preparing Bundles Independently holding a caseload of private law matters and requests for informationRequirements:Experience required in Local GovernmentExperience within Childcare lawRewards and Benefits:Hybrid workingFlexible working daysWorking hours:37 hours per week Monday – Friday, flexible start/finish timesPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
