Mechanical Gearbox FitterLocation: Dudley, DY1 4DASalary: Competitive, DOE + Excellent Benefits!Contract & Hours: Full time, permanent - 40 hours per weekCompany Benefits: Pension, Holidays, 25 plus bank holidays, Life Assurance, Cycle to work scheme, Cash health care scheme - Paycare, Birthday Vouchers, Employee Assistant Programme, Branded Uniform, Free parking and Free tea & coffee!We are Hayley 24/7 Engineering, we are recruiting and we want you!Our purpose is to work with customers to maintain operations, increase efficiency, reduce total cost of ownership, and secure asset performance gains.We provide customers with quality round-the clock coverage for planned, predictive and reactive maintenance and repairs.Our main workshop is in Dudley, the capital of the industrial Black Country, West Midlands.This 35,000 sq. ft. facility houses the latest machinery, testing equipment and central functions, with a satellite facility in King's Lynn, Norfolk, specialising in electric motor rewinding and pump performance testing.We are now recruiting for a Mechanical / Gearbox Fitter to provide support to the gearbox repair department by dismantling & assembling of all types of industrial gearboxes and general mechanical equipment.You will provide a detailed inspection report highlighting operational issues with the machine being assessed.In addition to this, as our Mechanical / Gearbox Fitter you will be responsible for: Involvement of day-to-day workshop in relation to quality, H&S and environmental activities.Dismantling of all types of gearboxes and mechanical equipment producing concise accurate reports and detail for managementAssembling gearboxes/mechanical equipment accurately so they are ready for installationInterpret engineering data and documentation such as engineering drawings and technical data.Be pro-active in finding solutions to problems and identifying areas for improving the businessEnsure standard work practices and procedures are being followedSite attendance & site assessment where requiredResponding to emergency situationsPart of a call out rota.The list of main duties is not exhaustive. In order to be successful in this role you must have: Apprenticeship in associated field or adequate experienceHealth & safety, environmental or quality training would an advantage but not essentialExperienced mechanical fitter with knowledge of industrial gearboxes, pumps and electric motors assembly and refurbishmentExperienced in the fitting of bearings and other precision componentsCapable of using precision workshop measuring equipment (i.e., micrometers and verniers)Ensuring excellent quality standards through final inspection and pass off processAbility to work to instruction and on own initiativeSelecting and using a range of measuring and testing equipment to check components are to the required quality and accuracyRead and interpret engineering dataTo be able to demonstrate problem solving skills to solve and repair issues efficiently and effectivelyTrained and experienced in the use of overhead cranes and slingingForklift license and experience is an advantageAbility to work as part of a teamProblem solving skillsFull UK driving licenseIf you feel you have the skills and experience to be successful in this role then click on APPLY today!No agencies please.JBRP1_UKTJ
