Job Description Technical Sales RepresentativeLocation: Midlands, UK (Field Based)We are looking for a passionate and driven Technical Sales Representative to manage established customer accounts and develop new business opportunities across the Midlands region.This is a field-based role focused on building strong customer relationships, understanding application requirements, and providing technical expertise to drive sales growth.The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities across the territory. You will work closely with customers to understand their measurement and inspection requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.This role involves regular customer visits, demonstrations, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure a high level of service and support.Key ResponsibilitiesVisit existing and prospective customers to understand requirements and promote products and servicesBuild strong long-term relationships with customers within the territoryDevelop a strong understanding of metrology principles and applicationsIdentify, generate, and qualify new sales opportunitiesWork closely with internal specialists to support technical sales projectsPrepare quotations, negotiate with customers, and close sales opportunitiesMaintain accurate records using company CRM and IT systemsSupport exhibitions, product demonstrations, and marketing events when requiredLiaise with internal departments to ensure projects progress smoothlyRespond promptly to customer enquiries regarding pricing, availability, and deliveryWork collaboratively with the Finance team regarding payment and account queriesAbout YouExperience in technical sales or field sales, ideally within engineering, manufacturing, or metrologyStrong communication and relationship-building skillsTechnically minded with the ability to understand and explain complex productsSelf-motivated with the ability to manage your own territory effectivelyWell organised with good time management skillsFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the Midlands regionPackage & BenefitsCompetitive base salary with uncapped commission structureCompany carPension schemePrivate healthcare and death in service benefits (after 3 years service)23 days holiday + bank holidays - Additional 1 day per year of service (up to 5 days)Working Hours:Monday Friday, 8:30am 5:00pm
