Job Description Business Analyst (Commercial Insurance)Location: Midlands (Hybrid)Salary: 80,000 85,000 per annum + benefitsUrgent requirement- we are partnering with a leading organisation within the Property & Casualty insurance sector to identify an experienced Business Analyst with strong Commercial Lines / Underwriting experience. This role sits within a major transformation programme focused on modernising underwriting and policy administration capabilities across the mid-market commercial insurance segment. You will work closely with business stakeholders, underwriters, and technology teams to translate complex underwriting processes into high-quality requirements and deliver solutions that support underwriting, rating, policy administration, and claims capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesEngage with business and IT stakeholders to capture, analyse, and document detailed requirements for insurance solutionsSupport agent and underwriter user journeys, including workflows covering risk intake, pricing, underwriting, and policy administrationCollaborate with product owners, SMEs, and technical teams to ensure solutions align with agreed scope and business requirementsDocument functional, UI, and product requirements using industry-standard methodsSupport configuration of rating logic and business rules across underwriting and policy administration workflowsConduct functional testing, troubleshoot issues, and work with teams to ensure timely resolution before deploymentAssist with UAT coordination, solution demonstrations, and impact analysis for scope changesProvide clear documentation, walkthroughs, and knowledge transfer to internal teams and stakeholdersContribute to change management activities, including risk, impact, and priority assessmentsRequirements10+ years experience working as a Business Analyst within P&CBA experience with commercial insurance and an SME focus (please outline clearly on CV)Proven experience gathering requirements to implement underwriting workbench solutionStrong ability to bridge business and technical teams with minimal supervisionExcellent documentation, analytical, and stakeholder communication skillsAble to work hybrid in West Midlands areaMax 4 weeks notice
