Job Description Maintenance Manager - Wembley 57,000 + BenefitsWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the engineering and building services function at a flagship destination in Wembley.This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and people-focused engineering leader to take ownership of a high-profile site, ensuring all mechanical, electrical and building systems operate safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards supporting an exceptional guest and retailer experience.The RoleReporting to the Facilities Manager, you will lead the onsite engineering team and take full responsibility for the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across the centre.This is a hands-on leadership role within a live retail environment, requiring strong technical expertise, compliance knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, develop and manage the onsite Maintenance TeamOversee delivery of PPM schedules and reactive worksEnsure full statutory compliance (LOLER, PUWER, electrical safety, water hygiene, etc.)Manage specialist contractors and permit-to-work systemsMaintain asset registers, statutory certification, and compliance documentationMonitor M&E and building fabric performance, identifying risks and investment needsEnsure accurate CMMS reporting and job closureConduct audits and inspections across plant rooms and public areasManage engineering budgets and procurement activitiesSupport emergency response and out-of-hours engineering incidentsPromote a proactive Health & Safety cultureWork collaboratively with operations, security, cleaning, guest services and centre managementSupport sustainability and energy efficiency initiativesAbout YouWe are seeking a confident engineering leader with experience in retail, commercial, or leisure environments.You will bring:Proven experience managing maintenance teamsStrong technical knowledge of M&E services (HVAC, water systems, controls)Solid understanding of statutory compliance and safe systems of workExcellent leadership and stakeholder management skillsStrong organisational and problem-solving abilityExperience using CMMS and digital reporting systemsA customer-focused mindset suited to a live public environmentDesirableIOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSHBMS experienceEnergy or sustainability exposureMulti-service FM contractor management experienceRecognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent)IPAF / PASMA
