MOT Technician Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire Salary: 32,000 (rising to 35,000 after successful probation) Monday to Friday, 08:00 17:00pm No Weekend Work Our client is a well-established independent garage based in Welwyn Garden City, providing high-quality servicing, repairs, and MOT testing to a loyal local customer base.Scroll down to find the complete details of the job offer, including experience required and associated duties and tasks.Due to continued demand, they are looking to recruit a qualified and reliable MOT Technician to join their professional and friendly team.The Role This position will be MOT focused, alongside general mechanical repair and servicing work.You will be expected to support the workshop with a range of day-to-day mechanical duties.Responsibilities include: Carrying out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards Identifying and reporting defects clearly and accurately Servicing and routine vehicle maintenance Brake repairs and replacements Tyre fitting and repairs Wheel alignment Diagnostics and fault finding Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer care About You Valid MOT Tester qualification (Class 4 required) Proven experience in a busy workshop environment Confident carrying out general mechanical repairs and diagnostics Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented approach Ability to work independently and as part of a team Full UK driving licence What We Offer Starting salary of 32,000 Salary increase xjdpvnf to 35,000 after successful probation MondayFriday working hours (8am5pm) No weekend work Clean and organised workshop Supportive, long-standing team environment Stability within a respected independent garage This is an excellent opportunity for an MOT Technician who wants consistent hours, no weekend work, and the chance to be part of a well-established independent garage that values quality workmanship and team culture.
