PDD Analytical Data Science teams are mobilized across the portfolio to generate data-driven insights, identify opportunities for scale, and implement impactful solutions.PDD Analytical Data Science is recognized as a leading hub for top industry talent, operating as an agile workforce to deliver regulatory commitments across the portfolio. We identify, influence, and adopt industry-leading digital and automation solutions, develop analytical approaches to support exploratory analyses, and align statistical programming practices across both early- and late-stage clinical development.The Opportunity:The DSX Implementation Specialist is a key individual contributor within the Analytical Data Science team, responsible for designing and implementing scalable tools and automation solutions that enhance the efficiency, quality, and consistency of statistical programming workflows across clinical development. This role translates user needs into modular, reproducible code and infrastructure, driving adoption of next-generation programming capabilities in alignment with Roches technical and regulatory standards.You support the development and maintenance of reusable tools, macros, and libraries that streamline routine programming tasksYou assist in the implementation of workflow automation scripts or components under guidance from senior team membersYou follow coding and documentation standards to ensure traceability, reusability, and complianceYou conduct testing and validation of automation tools and contribute to issue tracking and resolutionYou collaborate with statistical programmers and enablement teams to gather technical requirements and implement small-scale improvementsYou participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharingYou maintain awareness of industry tools and standards in statistical programming and automationYou work under general supervision and apply independent judgment to interpret guidance, prioritize responsibilities, and make decisions in situations that require contextual understandingYou apply judgment to address moderately complex statistical or data issues, balancing scientific rigor with appropriate flexibility, and seek guidance when facing novel or ambiguous situationsYou adhere to functional standards by participating in peer review and mentoring relationships to uphold quality and build methodological and programming expertiseWho you are:You hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or a related fieldYou have experience in statistical programming, automation, or software development in a clinical research or regulated environmentYou have foundational knowledge of programming languages such as SAS, R, or Python, and version control tools like GitYou are familiar with workflow scripting, modular code development, and documentation practicesYou demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, with a growth mindset and openness to feedbackYou demonstrate capacity for independent thinking and ability to make decisions based upon sound principlesYou bring excellent strategic agility including problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and agility that extends beyond the technical domainYou demonstrate respect for cultural differences when interacting with colleagues in the global workplaceYou have excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically in the areas of presentation and writing, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear languagePreferred:Exposure to CDISC standards or regulatory programming deliverablesExperience participating in tool development, QC, or testing workflowsInterest in workflow optimization and continuous improvementLocationThis position is based in WelwynRelocation Assistance is not available#PDDUKWho we areA healthier future drives us to innovate.
