Shifts: Monday to Friday Start times between 04:00 07:00 Rates of Pay: 18.00 per hour Benefits: Your benefits as HGV Class1 Steel Driver will be: Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Weekly pay Site canteen Training provided Immediate starts Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties: Your duties as a HGV Class 1 Steel Driver will be: Delivering steel products (previous steel experience is mandatory) Operating and driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly Adhering to traffic laws and regulations Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as required Essential Skills: The skills required as a HGV Class 1 Steel Driver will be: Valid UK Category CE driving licence Minimum of twelve month's experience driving Category CE vehicles Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes Good level of spoken and written English Punctual with excellent time-keeping Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Mandatory previous experience working with and transporting steel Desirable Experience: Previous experience driving commercial vehicles Previous multi-drop delivery experience Training: Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout Contact: If you are ready to take on this opportunity as a HGV Class 1 Steel Driver, please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
