CNC Setter Operator

Are you a CNC Setter Operator who takes pride in doing things properlynot chasing targets or cutting corners? This permanent CNC Setter Operator role is based in a clean, well-organised workshop manufacturing high-integrity fasteners used in nuclear, defence, and oil & gas applications. The CNC Setter Operator will receive a generous salay package up to 52k. As a CNC Setter Operator, will be confidently set and operate CNC lathes from start to finish. Youll work with Fanuc-controlled lathes, Doosan turning centers, and sliding head machines (Star / Citizen), machining exotic materials to tight tolerances. These fasteners are mission-criticalso quality, consistency, and process control are everything. CNC Setter Operator Key Responsibilities Set and operate 2-axis and 3-axis CNC lathes Work with Fanuc controls program edits, offsets, and first-off checks Use Doosan, Biglia fixed head, or Star, Citizen or Tornos sliding head lathes Twin spindle / twin turret setups Machine exotic materials to tight tolerances Manufacture precision fasteners for demanding environments Collaborate with inspection using micrometers, gauges, and calipers Maintain a clean, organised work area and spot issues early CNC Setter Operator What Youll Bring Proven experience as a CNC Setter Operator Confident with Fanuc controls and program editing Experience with Doosan, Biglia, or sliding head lathes Able to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring tools Strong understanding of turning strategy, feeds, speeds, and tolerances Pride in quality work and a proactive mindset CNC Setter Operator Pay & Benefits Salary package up to 52,026 including night shift allowance Monday to Thursday finish Friday 6am, enjoy a long weekend off Overtime at time and a half / double time 26 days holiday + 8 bank holidays Pension scheme + death-in-service cover Employee assistance programme Supportive team, clean workshop, no nonsense Apply Now This CNC Setter Operator role is managed through Plan B Midlands Ltd.
