Trust Resident Doctor, ST3+ (MN37)- Neurology

This post is ideal for someone who wishes to pursue a career in neurology. There will be support and supervision by the consultants to ensure that competencies are achieved in the diagnosis and management of neurological conditions.You will join a team of two other neurology IMT trainees, with cross cover for absence.All ST3+ trainees should attempt to attend and present patients at relevant multidisciplinary team meetings.The successful candidates will be expected to work 09:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday and work across all three sites.Main duties of the jobEnsure referrals are seen promptly, discussed with the consultant, and shared between you and the relevant consultants if you get too busy.Ensure the online referrals system is checked at least twice daily or delegated to a colleague.Attend clinics.Assist and manage IMT trainee queries.Manage clinical fellow clinics.Engage in audits to improve the department.Conduct lumbar puncture and lumbar puncture clinics.Job description The Neurology service is delivered at WHHT by an innovative, forward-thinking team of 12 Consultant Neurologists, supported by 1 Nursing lead, 1 Clinical Nurse Specialists and 2 internal medicine trainees (IMT) from the East of England Deanery.The team treats a wide range of neurological conditions, including seizures and headaches.
