Fabric Technician / Handy Person

Fabric Technician Location: Watford Rate: 18.19 per hour PAYE / 23.69 per hour Umbrella Contract Type: Temporary / Ongoing Hays are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabric Technician to work within a high-profile site environment. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong fabric and carpentry background, delivering both reactive and planned maintenance works while providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Respond to reactive maintenance works within agreed timescales Complete PPMs, reactive jobs and minor project works efficiently Liaise with client representatives regarding maintenance and repair tasks Carry out repairs to floor and wall coverings Complete ceiling tile repairs and replacements Undertake general building and installation works as required Carry out lighting maintenance including lamp changes Complete filter changes to AHUs and FCUs Undertake basic plumbing tasks Utilise a PDA to complete works, communications and updates Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with Health & Safety at Work Regulations Undertake any reasonable additional tasks as directed by the Technical Services Manager Essential Skills & Experience Previous Fabric / Carpentry experience Experience working in a high-profile or customer-facing environment City & Guilds or NVQ (or equivalent) in Carpentry Full UK driving licence PC literate Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, instructions and processes Ability to organise workload, manage tasks and determine material requirements What You'll Get Competitive hourly rate: 18.19 PAYE / 23.69 Umbrella Opportunity to work within a professional, high-profile environment Ongoing contract with potential for extension If you're an experienced Fabric Technician looking for your next opportunity, apply now or contact Hays for more information.
